PROFILE
Graduated from Parsons School of Design, New York.
He began his career at Issey Miyake in Tokyo before moving to Paris in 1991 to work for Cerruti and later for Gucci under Tom Ford.
In 1995, he relocated to New York to become the Head Designer for Donna Karan Collection. After working as a freelance designer and consultant for Italian brands such as Max Mara, he became the Head Designer for Jil Sander in Hamburg in 1999.
In 2000, he was appointed Creative Director for Allegri in Florence. During this time, he consulted for Ermenegildo Zegna and Burberry, acting as a Creative Director/Liaison between these brands and their Japanese licensees.
In 2010, he launched NAO TAKEKOSHI Su Misura, an exclusive made-to-measure menswear project in Italy.
In 2012, he became a Design Consultant for Francisco Costa at Calvin Klein Collection in New York.
In 2016, he founded and served as Creative Director of re:edition project 165, a new concept line in Tokyo.
Since 2021, he has been developing a special Body capsule program for WOLFORD, and in 2022, then he was appointed Artistic Director of the brand.
